Payment Policy

This Payment Policy explains which payment methods Lumayard accepts, when you are charged, how your payment details are protected and what to do if a payment fails.
1. Accepted payment methods
We accept the following payment methods at checkout:
- PayPal — pay with your PayPal balance, or with a debit or credit card through PayPal without creating an account
The PayPal icon shown in our footer and at checkout is the only payment method we accept. We do not accept cheques, bank transfers, cash on delivery or cryptocurrency.
2. Currency
All prices on Lumayard.com are displayed and charged in US dollars (USD). If your PayPal account or card is in another currency, PayPal or your card issuer sets the exchange rate and may apply a conversion fee; Lumayard has no control over these charges.
3. When you are charged
Your payment is authorised and captured at the moment you place your order. You will receive an order confirmation email within a few minutes of a successful payment. If an order is cancelled before dispatch, the full amount is refunded to the original payment method within 5 business days.
4. Pricing and taxes
The price shown on the product page is the price you pay. It includes any applicable sales tax, and shipping to any US address is free. We make every effort to display accurate prices; if a pricing error is found on an order before it ships, we will contact you to confirm the correct price or cancel the order with a full refund.
5. Secure checkout
Our checkout is provided by Shopify and protected with SSL/TLS encryption. All payments are processed by PayPal, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. Lumayard never sees or stores your full card number, expiry date or security code; these are handled directly by the payment provider.
6. Failed or declined payments
If a payment is declined, no order is created and you are not charged. Common reasons include an incorrect card number or expiry date entered in PayPal, a billing address that does not match the one on file with your bank, insufficient funds, or a security hold placed by PayPal or your bank. Please check the details and try again, or contact PayPal or your bank. If the problem continues, email support@lumayard.com and we will help.
7. Fraud prevention
To protect our customers, orders are screened for signs of fraud. In rare cases we may contact you to verify your identity or billing details before shipping. If we cannot verify an order, we may cancel it and issue a full refund.
